So long!
I haven't posted in three weeks! I've been "preoccupied" with giving myself more "me" time lately, as it was (and still is) much needed.
Juilliard Admissions Blogs
Here's what I've been posting under the Juilliard Admissions Blog for the past two weeks:
Van Itallie Project
We just wrapped up our studio project for the third quarter! We created a devised piece from America Hurrah, The Serpent and some speeches by Martin Luther King, Jr and Bobby Kennedy. This has been one of the most fun rehearsal projects I've been a part of in this school so far.
Thoughts lately
I've been thinking a lot about freedom, about Self, about ownership and about integration. I'm not in the mood to elaborate on all of those things as of the moment. However, the image of flowing water has been a guiding image when things get confusing. Here's something that's been keeping me on track lately:
"Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water. When you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour it into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can flow, and crash. Be water, my friend.”
This is a remixed version of the famous quote that I watch repeatedly every time I need a pick me upper:
